On October 26,
2007, Mount Pleasant inducted six people in our second
Hall of Fame. The Alumni Reception
was again held at the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company. The event
was coordinated by Dave and Kelli Bradley. Entertainment
was provided by WMPH radio station.

Lisa McDowell

Born Lisa Jacobs in
Wilmington Delaware, Lisa graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in
1971 and in 1975, graduated with honors from the University of Delaware.
Currently, Lisa is the Senior Director of Sales for CSL Behring, a
biopharmaceutical company. In this position, she is responsible for
leading and developing two sales forces and successfully meeting sales
goals of over $750 Million. In addition to leading a sales team, this
position allows her to work with patient communities such as Hemophilia,
Primary Immunodeficiency and Alpha One Deficiency. Lisa resides in
Skippack, PA with her husband, Ronald. Her joys in life reside around
her family which now hosts 3 beautiful grandchildren, Jacob, Reid and
Addison. |

Charles Frampton

Charlie, a resident of the
Town of Bellefonte since the age of 1, currently lives in the house that
his father built and the same residence that he had while attending
Mount Pleasant School on Duncan Road. Charlie was score keeper for Mt.
Pleasant High School wrestling for 20 years and 7 years for Springer
Middle School. He was the recipient of the 2007 Wrestling USA’s Man of
the Year for the State of Delaware and the 1995 Dick Maier Memorial
Award for Outstanding Effort in support of Mount Pleasant Athletics. .
He is the father of 3 boys who all graduated from MTP in the years 1981,
‘85 and ‘88. As an active member of the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company
for 53 years, the Frampton name is well known in firefighting service to
this community for 100 years. |

John Michalcewiz

John was in the U.S. Navy
from 1951 to 1953. He began his teaching career at Green Ridge School in
Pennsylvania until 1956 and came to Mount Pleasant High School in 1956
where he taught Biology. He was Head Baseball Coach and Assistant
Football Coach. In 1962 he became the Assistant Principal until 1966
when he took over as Principal with a tenure of twelve years until 1978.
John then moved on up to District Office as a Supervisor until 1982. He
was an Associate Director of the Commission on Secondary Schools, MSA,
from 1983 to 1992 and then the Executive Director from 1992 to 1996.

Vince Meconi

Vince was born in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania in 1951. He attended Mount Pleasant High School marrying
his fellow classmate of 1969, Sharon Kingston. He earned his Bachelor’s
degree from the University of Notre Dame in Government and Urban Studies
and his Master’s degree from the University of Delaware in Public
Administration. He served as a State Representative and as Planning
Director for the State Judiciary. Next he was the Executive Assistant to
Lt. Governor S.B. Woo and then Congressman Carper. Vince went on to be
Secretary of Administrative Services for Governor Tom Carper and then
Governor Ruth Ann Minner in 2001. Vince has received the Order of the
First State (Delaware’s highest civilian honor) in 2000, University of
Delaware Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement in 2003, the
Mental Health Association of Delaware’s Excellence in Government Award
in 2005 and the National Governors Association Award for Distinguished
Service to State Government in 2007. |

Wayne Pollari

Wayne graduated from the
University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s Degree, with Distinction, in
History and a Master’s Degree in Political Science. His Doctorate in
Education was from Temple. He taught, was a Department Chair, Coached,
and was an Administrator for 36 years in the Brandywine School District.
While coaching he was the Head Football Coach, Blue and Gold All Star
Coach and the All Star Football Game Coordinator for the Delaware
Foundation for Retarded Children. Wayne was President of the Mount
Pleasant Education Association and the New Castle County Education
Association. Wayne also served as President of the University of
Delaware Alumni Association, Delaware State Education Association, and
Delaware Retired School Personnel Association. Wayne served as a Board
Member of the Delaware State University, Camelot Boys Home, Edgemoor
Community Center, and Chairman of the Governor’s Youth Service
Commission. He is currently the Chairman of the 6th Representative
District Democratic Committee. A veteran of the U.S. Navy he received
the Silver Star while serving in the South Pacific. He has received the
Distinguished Services Award by the State Democratic Party and was
inducted into the University of Delaware’s Alumni Wall of Fame. He
resides in Weldin Woods with his wife, the former Joanne DiSabatino. He
has two children, Andrea Lanciault and Wayne Pollari Jr., and two
grandchildren, Carly and Lindsay Lanciault. |

Joseph 'Jody' Ambrosino

Jody lived his first 25
years in Chester, Pa at 8th and Lincoln Streets. He attended Chester
public schools and graduated from Chester High in 1951 where he excelled
as a three sport athlete. Jody matriculated to Pennsylvania Military
College receiving twelve athletic letters. After graduation from PMC
(Widener College) in 1956 he signed with the New York Yankees. He then
served as a 2nd Lt. In the U.S. Army. Upon his release he began teaching
at Mount Pleasant High in 1957. One year later he married Miss Lynne
Dietrich and they have four children: Jody, Cindy, Lisa, and Jane with
six grandchildren. Jody taught and coached at Mount while receiving his
Masters from Villanova in Administration. He was elected to the Delaware
Legislature in 1972 retiring in 1980. In 1979 he became Assistant to the
Superintendent In the NCC Vo-Tech District. He was a White House
appointee in 1981 under President Ronald Reagan. He worked with Mrs.
Reagan and Mrs. Bush to establish and implement a national volunteer
program tp combat substance abuse and adult illiteracy. He spent his
last six years in education as Principal of Howard Career Center and
Hodgson Vo-Tech. |
