Mount Pleasant Knights Against Tobacco / Kick Butts Generation is an organization dedicated to teenage tobacco usage prevention.  Our fourth year in practice, we have acquired over $30,000 in state grant money provided by the Delaware Division of Public Health.  Our work was featured on I-95, where our anti-tobacco billboard featured senior Mount Pleasant football players.  After our "Smelly Feet" poster appeared on the cover of the National Association of School Nurses newsletter, we received requests from all over the country for the poster.

The ALL 4 ONE Hip Hop group was formed this year to promote the anti-tobacco message along with other members of the Knights Against Tobacco group. Singer/Songwriter, Mike Black, member of the Class of 2006, agreed to lead the group and recruited 3 talented singers and song writers. Sophomore Pride Harris, Junior Brandon Hamilton, Freshman Travon Wooten and Lead M. C. Black are ready to spread the message with music. They want youth to know that using tobacco is not okay. Most teens don't use tobacco. The first performance for 6th graders at P. S. DuPont Elementary was a success. Performances are scheduled at Forward , Maple Lane, Brandywood, Mt. Pleasant Elementary, Lombardy, Hanby Middle School and Talley Middle School. This project is made possible by a grant from the Division of Public Health's Community Contract. Funding for the grant is provided by the Delaware Health Fund and managed by the American Lung Association of Delaware.  See also Hip Hop Group Spreads Healthy Message
